Fox News Hits a New Low with “SE”XBOX “News” Segment

Words cannot properly express how pissed off the following made me. Watch the video and then we can discuss the many, many flaws in the completely false and confusing argument by Cooper Lawrence and the people at Fox News. What’s surprising is that Geoff Keighley makes some great points, but is completely outweighed by all of these people that have little or no experience with modern video games … Read the full entry »

The Genius that is Xbox/Windows LIVE!

In my experience with marketing and sales departments at various companies I have come to realize that the people in those departments usually are great with their clients, but rarely actually know what is going on behind the scenes. I then tried to play it with VLC, but VLC had a weird error where it would only play the top left quadrant of the video. … Read the full entry »

Guitar Hero III and PS3 Commercials

I’m working on a special article for Aberrantech, but I am still waiting to hear back from a couple sources for some info I need before I can say anything official. In the meantime, I went to Best Buy on Saturday to pick up the Deluxe Edition of the Across the Universe Soundtrack and to my wonder they had Rock Band and Guitar Hero III setup right next to each other. I think Rock Band is far superior for anyone that wants to play with friends … Read the full entry »

Why Review Scores Are Ruining The Tech Industry

Like being graded in school, having a rating is an easy way to compare two similar competitors. You could put two students side by side with their GPA, one with a 3.8 and one with a 3.2. When asked which one is a better student you might automatically jump to the conclusion that the student with the higher GPA is a better student, but you would be failing to ignore a myriad of other factors. … Read the full entry »
