AMD now shipping Phenom 8000-series triple-core CPUs to large computer makers

AMD stated Wednesday that they are now shipping their Phenom 8000-series triple-core processor to large computer makers. The release date for end useres and small system builders has yet to be announced but is expected to be sooner rather than later. According to PC World, Mesh Computer out of the UK is already selling models based on both of the previously announced Phenom tri-core CPUs, the 2.1GHz Phenom 8400 and the 2.3GHz Phenom 8600.
