Ageia may or may not have been acquired

Fudzilla reported a couple days ago that they heard through the grapevine that Ageia,  a leading supplier of physics for games, had been acquired. No other info was given besides the statement that it wasn’t by AMD who acquired them. X-bit Labs was able to get a response from Ageia, who is currently denying the rumor. They quote Dan Forster, a spokesperson for Ageia Technologies as saying, “We have no information about [the acquisition of Ageia]. There have been no changes [in the structure of investors]. As you know this kind of rumors pops up from time to time…” As he says, rumors pop up all the time and this could easily be false. Then again, most companies that haven’t yet made an official announcement on something are going to say something akin to what Forster said until the full details are hammered out and until they are ready to make an official statement. We’ll just have to see how this one shakes out.
