Fujitsu has announced that they will be releasing a MHZ2 BH series 320GB 5400RPM notebook 2.5″ hard drives with SATA3.0Gb/s interface. Fujitsu is expecting the drive to be available February 2008. Fujitsu has already launched a 300GB 2.5″ hard drive, model number MHX2300BT, but that drive is only SATA1.5Gb/s and 4200RPM. The new MHZ2 BH series 320GB should give much faster performance. The only main spec that is unclear from the press release is how much cache is on the drive, though it’s safe to say it’s at least 8MB but could be as much as 16MB or maybe even 32MB.
