NZXT launches ROGUE mATX SFF case

posted by Eric C. in Hardware, Power Supplies/Cases, Small Form Factor |

NZXT’s Rogue mATX Small Form Factor (SFF) case has had some pictures around the web for a little while now but not much in the way of official information, until now. They put up the official product page recently and are expecting to release the case later this month or early next month. Some Small Form Factor purists may decry the use of the term for this case, similarly to the way some did with Qmicra/Qmicra2, but cases of these size definitely have there place. As video cards get larger and hotter, you just plain can’t fit them into some SFF cases and if you can it requires modding of the case to do so. The other factor is power supplies, the Rogue is touted to be able to fit “larger power supplies over 700W”, which you can’t say about any other SFF cube style case with a smaller footprint.

Five 120mm fans and full sized PSU!?! Is it possible to fall in love with a case?

As the proud owner of one these babies, the comment about fitting a PSU over 700 watts, is slightly amusing. The reality is, this case can fit any PSU currently on the market regardless of wattage (and I’ve got 1200 watts that can prove it!). Room is NOT a problem here… ;)
