For awhile there it looked like ATI was winning "Price vs. Performance", but it looks like nVidia is coming back. This looks like a good little card for mid-range gaming. I want to get a new card, but its a tough choice with all these $200 and less cards that are more than capable of running every game out there at great detail levels.

unfortunately they can't mandate just how deep and realistic physics are implement, but if it becomes implemented into GPUs then they could implement better physics for "free" performance wise, so you'll be more likely to see better physics in the long run.

I just hope nvidia pushes for real physics. Most physics in games act like it is happening on Mars. Objects seem to move slower than they would in real life. I think GRAW and GRAW 2 have come the closest, but they use it in limited amounts which is probably for the best.

currently buffalo is not allowed to sell routers in the US, if you go to this page http://www.buffalotech.com/products/wireless/ after having selected United States as your region you get the following:

Regrettably, the Court of Appeals has decided not to stay the injunction in the CSIRO v. Buffalo et al litigation during the appeal period. Although Buffalo is confident that the final decision in the appeal will be favorable and that the injunction will be lifted, Buffalo is presently unable to supply wireless LAN equipment compliant with IEEE 802.11a and 802.11g standards in the United States until that decision is issued. Click here for additional information.

You mean making a new version so it is less able to OC? that could be a factor, who knows. But as you experienced with your shuttle, motherboard compatibility is a problem.

How many layer are shuttle boards? I'd assume 6 since they may not have enough room for all the traces with 4 layers anyway but not sure.

My belief is that it's not just the 4 layer PCB that is causing the problem. I suspect anti-OC protection is a factor but I could be wrong.

their may be hope for people with 680i boards, as it appears Intel is redesigning their quad-core 45nm CPUs to be more compatible with 4 layer boards, which may make them compatible with the 680i, though currently it's unclear if this will help or not. http://aberrantech.com/?p=367

It appears that either Via didn't ship them on time or all the stores are waiting for the new year so they don't have to pay taxes on them as inventory. Eitherway, they're not in stock yet any place it seems. But logic supply does have them listed for $279, not bad at all, considering the cheapest board with Pico-ITX case from Logic Supply is $360!

Could you power the Artigo off of the ATX PSU by bypassing the little power port and going straight to the board? Then the only cable you would need to route from the bay to the back of the case would be the ethernet cable.

Exactly. I'm already going to have an LCD on the project. I could set up the LCD to switch sources between the main rig and the Artigo. It could also be networked to handle downloading of files, etc. Wow, there are so many cool possibilities here.

You could stick it in a 5.25" bay and have it independently control movies/graphics on a monitor embedded in the chassis. It would make a great show machine and not steal any of your main system's resources.
